Short Order CookWe are seeking a punctual individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about an opportunity to provide a guest with an experience that is beyond their expectations and creates guests for life. The Short Order Cook will perform duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating, garnishing of cooked items, and preparing food at various outlets throughout Blue Mountain Resort.Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be available to work at least 2 days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidaysTimely and reliable attendance is a MUST, even in inclement weatherAbility to work independently and have excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skillsAbility to prioritize tasks while having a team player attitude and work ethicAbility to communicate effectively utilizing English; both in oral and written formAbility to learn POS system and communicate positively with guestsBasic knife skillsAbility to stand for extended periodsWillingness to learn and ask questionsWhat You Can Expect:Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipmentEffectively demonstrate proper plate presentation including garnish setup for all dishesAdhere to proper portioning and follows proper recipe specifications, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and proceduresAbility to get all prep done in a timely and efficient manner while following established recipes and specsMust communicate with staff and management team efficientlyGeneral knowledge and application of sanitary practices and maintains a clean and sanitary workstation including all surfaces and equipmentStocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service periodHandles, stores, and rotates all products properlyAssume 100% responsibility for quality of products servedPerforms other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen manager or manager on dutyWhat We Can Offer You:We offer the opportunity to join a growing company with over 40 years in the hospitality industry and be a part of setting a new standard of excellence in guest satisfaction.
